Lauren + Donovan Maternity

I recently had the privilege of shooting Lauren and Donovan’s maternity photos on the stunning coast of Southern California. I met Lauren in college back in 2014 and we’ve been on a nice little journey together since then!

Lauren and Donovan started dating in 2016 and married on December 11, 2020, in California where they currently live. They love going to Disney and are one of the sweetest couples you’ll ever meet! Originally, they planned to come to Vegas for their maternity shoot, but they ended up bringing me out to them in California because they simply could not resist the beach. The setting was so stunning though, so I could hardly blame them!

While we were shooting, Lauren started to get a little dizzy and thankfully, I had my husband with me for this trip so I sent him out to grab something for her to snack on to get her blood sugar back up! He ended up bothering a family playing on the beach for said snacks, which saved him avoiding lots of stairs and traffic to the store. Thank you prepared moms and dads!! We slowed it down a bit and were still able to make this shoot truly incredible. Near passing out/high tide/sharp rocks on our feet aside.

It’s a surreal feeling getting to capture to these moments for long time friends, and watching each stage of their journey together. Just one of the many reasons I love what I do so much.
